How much will my glasses cost?
Depending on eligibility, a frame and basic lenses are covered by the VA, unless there are medical reasons for any additional products.
Can I purchase a second pair?
Yes. This varies by location so please talk to your optician for more information.
How long does it take to get my glasses?
Our turnaround time, from when Superior receives the purchase order from the VA to when the eyeglasses are delivered to the veteran, is typically between 7 to 10 days. Please note that because the time that it takes for Superior to receive the PO from the VA can vary significantly it may sometimes take up to 4 weeks to receive your glasses although in most cases it is typically less. Where do I pick up my glasses?
Glasses can either be mailed to your residence by way of FedEx or they can be picked up at the dispensary where they were ordered.
Can my spouse get glasses at the VA?
Yes, family members may purchase glasses with a valid written prescription. Not valid in New York.
Can I get my glasses adjusted?
Yes, you can have your glasses adjusted at any of our dispensaries during business hours.
What do I do if my glasses break?
Contact the dispensary where the glasses where ordered. Click for a list of locations.
Can I get replacement parts?
Yes, our dispensaries will have replacement screws, nose pads, and temple covers for your VA provided glasses.
Can I get Transitions and/or Crizal added to my lenses?
Yes. For many locations your optician can assist you with adding these products to your order. In New York you will need to call 1-800-476-2285 within 24 hours to have these products added to your eyeglasses.
